Bio

Valeria Pierini (Assisi, 1984), founder of Incontri di fotografia, is an Umbrian lens-based artist with a degree in mass communication. Her artistic research start in 2010 and kicks off from her fondness for literature, philosophy and storytelling. In recent years she has been paying a lot of attention to docu-fiction, combining scientific, literary and anthropological subjects. She has exhibited her works in several group and solo exhibitions in Italy and abroad, she holds courses and workshops, for adults and children, in schools, universities and associations. Her works, selected in many competitions and festivals and also widely published, are collected in Italy and abroad.
